It’s summertime and the last thing most of us want is to be stuck in some dark, crowded gym when we could be out enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. But who says you can’t get your workout in outside? Not us! Here are 4 sweaty, fun, and dynamic workouts you can do anywhere outdoors with no equipment!
#1. Tabata (20 seconds of work: 10 seconds of rest)
What you need: timer, jump rope, yoga mat
- Jump Squats
- Pushups
- Walking Lunges
- Jump Rope
- Bicycle Crunches
- Burpees
- Lunge Jumps
- Tricep Dips
Complete 4 or more rounds
#2. 1 Minute Rounds (50 seconds of work: 10 seconds of rest)
What you need: timer, stairs, yoga mat
- Run stairs
- Jumping Jacks
- Sit Ups
- Mountain Climbers
- Squats
- Speed Skaters
- Shoulder Taps
- High Knees
- Flutter Kicks
- Butterfly Crunches
Complete 2 or more rounds
#3. Countdown (decrease by 1 rep each round)
What you need: yoga mat
10 reps-9 reps-8 reps—-1 rep
- Tuck Jumps
- Plank Ups
- Curtsy Lunges (each side)
- Butt Kicks (each side)
- Pushups
- Ski Abs (each side)
- ½ Burpee
- Side plank Dips (each side)
#4. Progressive (start with exercise #1 and add an exercise each round)
What you need: yoga mat
10 reps
- Plie Squats
- Jackknives (each side)
- Mountain Climbers (each side)
- Lunge Jumps (each side)
- Hip Thrust
- Jump Squats
- Plank Jacks
- Toes to Ceiling Crunches
- Speed Skaters
- Butt Burners (each side)
